Introducing Magical Preorder: Everything you need to know about the latest update

On July 22nd, 2024 Fortescue Preorder Pro + Back in Stock was updated to Magical Preorder with new branding.

Although the update has introduced a new version of the app, existing users can still enjoy the old app and no action is required on their part. These existing users will only notice a branding update.

Below you’ll find answers to the most commonly asked questions about this update, and how it impacts your store.

Please read below and contact the Magical Apps team if you have further questions about the update.

When did the new version of the app launch?

Magical Preorder, the new version of the app replacing Fortescue Preorder Pro, launched on July 22nd, 2024. If you installed the app before this date, your store is likely using the old version of the app, Fortescue Preorder Pro.

Why was a new version of the app created?

The Magical Apps team acquired Fortescue Preorder Pro + Back in Stock late last year, and the app is being integrated into the Magical Apps family. The new name is Magical Preorder.

Please note that the previous version of the app is different than the new version. Anyone on the old version of the app will still retain the original features.

We are planning to update the app (while maintaining all existing features and adding new ones). So for existing users, nothing changes except the name of the app and the logo.

I am using the old version of the app. Can I upgrade?

Yes. To upgrade to the Magical Preorder app for free, please contact the Magical Apps team.

Please note that some features available in the previous version are not currently available in Magical Preorder. New features will be added over time.

Why is the new version of the app free when I’m still paying monthly for the old version?

The new app is significantly different from the original. While the original app currently offers more powerful features, the new version is currently feature-limited in comparison.

Because of this, the new version is free. As we roll out new features over time it will eventually include more advanced features. Once these new features are added, a paid version will be reintroduced.

Depending on your needs, you might find the original app more suitable for now. However if you compare the features below and find that it makes sense for you to switch, please get in touch and we can help you with the change.
