Information About Your Customers (Protected Customer Data / Privacy Details)

  • When is customer data accessed? Only if you are on the Growth Plan and have enabled a Location-Based condition on a fee rule.
  • How is it used? Exclusively during the checkout process to fulfill this specific functionality.
  • Privacy protection: This data is neither stored nor shared.
  • Why the permission appears: Shopify does not support restricted or customized scopes for Protected Customer Data, so this permission is visible to all users, even if not actively used.

Information About Your Shopify Store (Permission Details)

  • Read inventory: Access your store’s inventory data to ensure fees are accurately calculated based on product availability.
  • Read locations: Access store locations to manage fees across locations.
  • Read themes: Access theme information to utilize app-related content.
  • Write cart transforms: Modify cart contents using Shopify Function Cart Transforms for fee adjustments.
  • Write metaobject definitions and metaobjects: Create, edit, and delete custom data structures to store and manage fee rules and configurations.
  • Write orders: Modify order details to remove unnecessary information added by the app after checkout.
  • Write products: Manage products and collections used by the app.
  • Write publications: Control where products are published to ensure fee products are properly available across all relevant sales channels.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the personal information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the App.
  • Communicate with you.
  • Optimize or improve the App.
